UNITE
Just as each of
us has one body with many members, and these members do not all
have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one
body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:4-5
One
of the most important ways Christians grow in the relationship
with Christ is through relationships with each other. We want
you to have solid friendships that will keep you accountable to
Christ. Sunday nights, 6:00-9:00 are our biggest time for Uniting
together.
"Unite" is the youth ministry
word for fellowship. Through our relationships with fellow
believers we gain strength to do the work of ministry, we
bear one another's burdens, celebrate one another's joys,
pray for one another, grow together in Christ and in each
other. Jesus talks about Uniting together in Matthew 22 when
he says that the second greatest commandment is to "Love
your neighbor as you love yourself."
Sunday nights are the primary Uniting
times for our youth. During our Sunday evening fellowships
the Jr. and Sr. High meet together for about an hour for
games and fun activities. Then we settle down for snacks
and break up into age-appropriate small groups of 5-7 for
discussion of relevant topics. A lot of monthly fun events
have uniting purposes too, so keep your eyes open for those
opportunities.
